A STUDY OF PILING

This article describes frequently used types of hammer-driven and drilled-in piles, and caissons of soft and hard woods, reinforced concrete and steel. The advantages and disadvantages of each of pile, including strength of the pile, the ease of driving it into the bottom soil, pile resiliency, and resistance to corrosion are discussed.
