DIE NEUE TVBIT 7/71

After considering the previous Tv/Bit 7/64 and its weaknesses, the author considers the alterations in the new Tv/Bit 7/71, which are basically the following: 1 - the concept of "significant defect" has been dropped and replaced by the general concept "defect"; 2 - there are definite rules on deviations from limit values; 3 - recommendations for determining layer thicknesses were introduced by the Federal Minister of Transport, and these form a parallel with the new specification; 4 - it is now possible to limit the area assigned for a sampling procedure or a measurement. As well as these principle changes, the individual sections of the specification also contain details of obligations as regards guarantees. /TRRL/
