STATISTICAL CONTROL OF THE QUALITY OF CONCRETE
EL CONTROL ESTADISTICO DE LA CALIDAD EN HORMIGONES
Details are given of a method for the systematic control of the strength of concrete on site by means of sampling, and of conditions of acceptance for the batches controlled. The factor used is a statistical function of the lowest arithmetical average 1/x among the results obtained with a number n sample. The statistical variable thus defined is not based on the statistical value; because of that a factor k is applied to the variable. This factor varies with n, X and V, V being the variation coefficient for the original number of samples. The acceptance criterion is very flexible; this permits a certain latitude in the strictness of the inspection as a function of the dimensions of the sample. /TRRL/
