TRAINING FOR VIBRATION MONITORED MAINTENANCE
Acceptance of vibration monitoring as a means of determining operating conditions for machinery is growing. Training courses conducted by Vibration Consultants & Instrumentation Ltd., in the UK, aimed at developing an understanding of the vibration technology and of its effective utilization are described. The authors state that operations of a vibration monitoring maintenance program, as part of an overall planned maintenance program, results in large, positive financial savings in relation to maintenance, repairs and spare gear costs.
