PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL BURDENS OF MOTORISTS DEPENDING ON DENSITY OF TRAFFIC AND SPEEDS
PHYSISCHE UND PSYCHISCHE BELASTUNG VON KRAFTFAHREN IN ABHAENGIGKEIT VON VERKEHRSDICHTE UND GESCHWINDIGKEIT
During experimental rides over a dense-traffic motorway section the effect of the density of traffic upon values of circulation and metabolism was examined. Along with this the traffic conditions were recorded by technological measurements and in films. Different degrees of traffic density effected the aspect of the occurrence of the rides differently, even if the latter were felt not to be too stressing in general. With the psychological values there were always growths as compared with the rest-values; however, no significant differences depending on the various degrees of traffic density could be traced, but the effect of the speed may possibly veil the differences with the various degrees of traffic density.
