CONSTRUCTION OF A FULL-DEPTH ASPHALT ROAD EXPERIMENT AT BOEBLINGEN

The road experiment was included in a heavily trafficked road in an area of adverse weather conditions in order to find answers to questions regarding the design of full-depth asphalt pavements. The experimental road, which includes two standard pavement structures and three full-depth sections of different thickness design is graphically represented. Layout and method of placement are described as well as the planned programme of measurements and the instrumentation of the road experiment. /TRRL/
