SEALING OF DRAINAGE PIPE CONNECTIONS IN ROAD CONSTRUCTION
DICHTUNGSMASSNAHMEN FUER ROHRVERBINDUNGEN VON ENTWAESSARUNGSLEITUNGEN IM STRASSENBAU
Drainage pipes are designed and constructed according to the German standard (din 4033). In November, 1971 the draft standard (din 19543) was published, dealing with the requirements for pipe connections for the first time. Drainage pipes are mostly stoneware pipes, concrete pipes, asbestos-cement pipes and plastic drainage pipes. The sealing specifications according to din 19543 for the various types of drainage pipes are described and discussed. An annex lists all the standards and specifications pertaining to the production of impervious drainage pipes. /TRRL/
