USER'S MANUAL FOR THE STANDARD SHIP MOTION PROGRAM, SMP
A new Standard Ship Motion Computer Program (SMP), has recently been developed at the David W. Taylor Naval Ship Research and Development Center to provide a standard ship motion prediction tool for use in the Navy's ship design process. The procedures implemented in this program represent the present state-of-the-art in ship motion technology. SMP thus transfers existing technology into the ship design process. SMP was written in modular form for ease in making future changes. The input, calculation conditions, and output have all been standardized.
