ALCOHOL AND TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS IN BELGIUM; A SCIENTIFIC STUDY
The importance of alcohol as a major factor in car accidents is stressed. The author has to treat many cases of serious injury, and in up to 50 per cent of these cases, alcohol levels were high. The legal blood-alcohol limit in Belgium is 1.5 promille which is unrealistically high. It is suggested that it should be half or even one third of that value. The covering abstract for the conference is IRRD no. 211714. /TRRL/
