An economic analysis defines the cost advantage of zinc-base primers over low first-cost, high maintenance paint systems. Futher savings accrue from pre-erection priming and the deferral of the topcoat for 5-10 years. Savings of over half a million dollars can be made in a three hundred million dollar plant. /Author/
