ALKALI SILICA REACTIONS IN CONCRETE
ALKALIKISELREAKTIONER I BETON
The Research and Development Dept of Aalborg Portland held a seminar in may 1974 where the participants were researchers who are actively engaged in the work on alkali reactions. Concepts of reaction kinetics and deformation/fracture mechanics in concrete were discussed. The processes that constitute the alkali silica reaction were formulated as a theory. Identification and characterization of reactive aggregates and specifications for standard aggregates for comparative experimental use was another topic. The third topic was effects of concrete composition and structure in the light of modern technology - identification and effects of environmental parameters. /TRRL/
