PROPOSAL FOR TURBOCHARGER SYSTEM CONDITION MONITORING
A method for measuring the air quantity delivered to a turbocharged Diesel engine and a procedure for monitoring the operational condition of the components affecting the performance of the air delivery system is presented. Such monitoring procedure should give the operating staff valuable information in pinpointing system deterioration, and thus be a helpful guide in maintenance planning with a modest investment in funds and effort.
