DERAILMENT DETECTOR ON HAULED ROLLING STOCK USED BY THE MIFERMA COMPANY

DETECTEUR DE DERAILLEMENT SUR LE MATERIEL REMORQUE UTILISE PAR LE CHEMIN DE FER DE LA SOCIETE MIFERMA

This equipment, fitted beneath the vehicle underframe or body, is connected directly to the main compressed-air brake pipe. Its feelers, suitably positioned near the wheelsets, detect unusual axle or body movement, they cause depression in the brake pipe and consequently an emergency application of the brakes. This detector can also be used on vehicles fitted with vacuum brakes.
