In the case of railroads with low traffic density and simple operating conditions, the use of radio equipment will result in a considerably higher flexibility of operations and in a higher profit-earning capacity of the transport undertaking. This requires in the first place the setting up of a radio network with fixed stations and radio link systems. Such a system is described in more detail.
