INTRODUCTION TO SESSION 6. REINFORCED SOILS
This paper introduces the session on reinforced soils, and discusses some of the topics covered. The three main topics covered are as follows: 1) the most appropriate methods of analysis and design; 2) the mechanisms of soil-reinforcement interaction; and 3) the influence of construction techniques on performance. For the covering abstract see IRRD 860485.
