AN ENCLOSED ARC WELDING PROCESS FOR HEAD HARDENED RAILS. THE USE OF HIGH CARBON WELDING MATERIALS AND EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS IN THE FIELDS
This paper describes the use of high carbon welding materials for enclosed arc welding of head hardened steels. Experimental results of the welds by this new welding process in the fields show an extremely higher resistance of weld metal than those by the conventional welding process.
