A SIMPLIFIED APPROACH TO FLOW NETWORK ANALYSIS: APPLICATION TO ENGINE LUBRICATION SYSTEMS
The nature of general flow network problems is discussed, and nonlinear programming techniques are suggested as an especially expedient method of solution. In particular, the computer coding for Rosenbrock's algorithm is given, along with step-by-step instructions for its use in analyzing arbitrary flow networks. Application of the solution technique to the analysis of an engine lubrication system is also presented. /GMRL/
