STOCHASTIC RELATIONSHIPS IN EARTHWORKS CONTROL

Investigations using statistical methods of the relationship between dry density obtained by means of the Standard Proctor Test and the flow limit W(sub 11) of built-in material during earthworks is presented. The analysis which yields the parameters of the linear stochastic relationship between the characteristics as well as the strength of the relationship is described. It is shown that the applied method for the determination of dry density enables that a large number of results are obtained in a short time, also enabling a quicker and better quality control in earthworks.
