INFLUENCE OF VEHICLE CHARACTERISTICS ON THE DESIGN AND MAINTENANCE OF ROADS
INCIDENCIA DE LAS CARACTERISTICAS DE LOS VEHICULOS EN EL PROYECTO Y CONSERVACION DE CARRETERAS
Present techniques of planning rigid and flexible pavement design are reviewed, and the influence of the contact pressure of tyres and axle loads on the behaviour of the pavement is emphasized. Examples are used to show that economic requirements permit a limit load of 13t per axle without increasing the requirements for the road network in Spain. The number of covering abstract of the symposium is IRRD Abstract No. 100881. /TRL/
