EXTRUSION OF STEEL FIBER REINFORCED CONCRETE
The fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) material system, using portland cement and steel fibers, is used in an extrusion process. The effect of the FRC on the extrusion process, and vice versa the effect of the process itself on the mechanical behavior of the material system, is discussed. The results of flexure tests are used to point out some important differences between the response of pressure formed extruded specimens and what is normally found with specimens produced by a casting process. /Author/
