SEISMIC METHOD OF PROBING RAILWAY EMBANKMENTS

PRIMENENIE SEJSMICESKOGO METODA DLJA ZONDIROVANIJA ZELZNODOROZNYH NASYPEJ

The seismic method is based on the study into elastic-wave fields propagated in the teack bed due to the impact of an explosion. Using a seismic receiver, it is possible to record, at the surface of a stratified soil, different types of wave: longitudinal, transversal, reflected or refracted by various interfaces, as well as surface waves.
