THEORETICAL STUDY ON THE DETERMINATION OF SECONDARY DEFLECTION IN RAILS
THEORETISCHE STUDIE UEBER DIE ERMITTLUNG DER SEKUNDAERDURCHBIEGUNG DER SCHIENE
The calculation of the deflection of a rail is based on the assumption of a continuous elastic support. It is in fact a support at separate spaced points, which causes an additional (secondary) deflection. The author calculates this secondary deflection, and concludes that it does not not have any significant effect on superstructure stress.
