METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE TIME FOR CHANGING LUBRICATING OILS IN DIESEL ENGINES

METHODE ZUR BESTIMMUNG DER OELWECHSELPERIODE VON DIESELMOTOREN

A simple method which determines the time when the oil in diesel engines should be changed is described along with a portable testing device. Field tests conducted on diesel engines and based on this method indicate the usefulness of the test and the potential for lubricant savings. Systematic inspection of vehicles not only leads to considerable savings in lubricants but also makes it possible to obtain a good idea about the engine's working conditions.
