OPERATING EXPERIENCE OF LARGE CONTAINERSHIPS
This paper reminds the reader of the nature of the Europe-Far East Containership services, before going on to describe the actual cargoes and the performance of the gear. The behavior of the ships themselves, both as to seakeeping and as to structure, receives mention. An outline of the economic performance is given; some personnel aspects are highlighted; and three major incidents from operational experience are described.
