Road safety campaigns have been carried out in Germany for several years. These campaigns are supported by the individual states and carried out by the local authorities, with the help of organisations such as the German Automobile Club (ADAC), and the German Road Safety Council. The procedure used for implementing a campaign is described, and examples given, using the city of Aachen, as a case study. The french title of this paper is 'Activites systematiques d'education routiere, en particulier les initiatives proposees par les administrations municipales et le role des organisations de securite routiere locales'. For the covering abstract of some of the papers see IRRD 837529. (Author/TRRL)
