STIFFNESS MATRIX OF A STRUCTURAL PART OF A BEAM SUBJECTED TO TORSIONAL-FLEXURAL STRESSES
MATRICE DE RIGIDITE D'UN ELEMENT DE POUTRE SOLLICITE A LA TORSION-FLEXION
Details are given of the calculation of the stiffness matrix of a structural part of a beam subjected to normal flexural and torsional stresses. The deformation energy due to the buckling of the straight sections under the effect of the dual moment is taken into account. The method used consists in calculating for each stress the potential deformation from the displacement loads computed with the theory-of-beams differential equations. /TRRL/
