Insulation by means of insulating material lining is only one method of reducing noise inside cars. Attention is drawn to the fact that sound problems cannot be treated separately and that all components of the car come into play. Numerous defects should be rectified by improvement of the overall design rather than by purely acoustic solutions. /TRRL/
