THE HOV SYSTEM IN THE SEATTLE AREA. FIFTH NATIONAL HIGH-OCCUPANCY VEHICLE (HOV) FACILITIES CONFERENCE, HOV FACILITIES--COMING OF AGE, CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS, APRIL 28 - MAY 1, 1991, SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
This conference presentation provides a brief overview of some of the major elements of the Seattle HOV system and its future plans. The core system is comprised of approximately 50 miles of HOV lanes. Some 273 lane miles are planned by 2000. To date, nearly $500 million has been spent on HOV treatments in the region; future funding is somewhat uncertain.
