METRICATION IN THE CONSTRUCTION TRADES
Switching to the metric system in the construction industry is being fostered by the Coordinating Committee of the American National Metric Council. The in the number of standards. Tables with detailed information are given and the origins of measurements are explained. It is concluded that maintaining adequate communication among all the branches of the construction industry will be necessary to implement and benefit from the changes that conversion to metrication will bring about.
