PLANE STRESS FRACTURE RESISTANCE OF ONE STEEL SHEET AND TWO TITANIUM SHEET ALLOYS
Three high-strength alloys have been investigated to determine the effect of the specimen geometric dimensions on the K sub c fracture toughness value. The alloys were 4130 steel and two titanium sheet alloys, Ti-6Al-4V and Ti-120 VCA. The influence of specimen thickness, crack length/width ratio, and yield strength on K sub c was studied. (Author)
