IMPLEMENTING RESEARCH RESULTS II
In his remarks concerning research implementation recommendations the author suggests opportunities for standardization between the United States and Europe, illustrated by the fields of headlighting and rear lighting. The adoption of three-beam headlighting is discussed, as are the differences in rear lighting and signaling practices between the two areas. Consideration must be given to such factors as cost-benefit, safety, lead time and operational environment.
