INNOVATIVE MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT FOR PAVEMENT SURFACE REPAIRS. VOLUME I: SUMMARY OF MATERIAL PERFORMANCE AND EXPERIMENTAL PLANS
Research is reported on the materials and equipment used for 5 of the more common maintenance activities: portland cement concrete crack sealing, PCC joint resealing, PCC spall repair, asphalt concrete crack sealing and filling, and AC pothole repair. The study attempted to identify materials, procedures, and equipment for these maintenance activities that are more effective and more efficient than past methods. Volume I of this 3-volume report summarizes the use, performance, and properties of numerous sealing and patching materials used for each of the above maintenance activities. Overviews are presensted of 4 experimental plans developed for testing promising materials.
