ROAD TRANSPORTATION - ROAD SAFETY - LAND USE AND TRAFFIC. PROCEEDINGS, SIXTH CONFERENCE, ROAD ENGINEERING ASSOCIATION OF ASIA AND AUSTRALASIA, 4-10 MARCH 1990, KUALA LUMPUR, VOLUMES 1 TO 5 AND POST CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS
Deciding which travel demands can be met can be made easier by applying certain principles. These principles are based on the inter-relationship between land use and traffic and may be regarded as a summary of the various measures taken to achieve a balance between feasible travel speeds, accessibility, safety, freedom from disturbance, aesthetic aspects and amenity. The three principles are inter-related and thus cannot be applied individually. For the covering entry of the conference see IRRD 823206. (TRRL)
