CALCULATIONS REGARDING CATENARY CARRYING CABLES IN RELATION TO WIND FORCE

The article examines wind speed pulsations during air turbulemce, and the forced oscillations of catenary carrying cables under the action of random wind forces. A method is proposed for the dynamic calculation of cable displacement and the maximum permissible distances between catenary masts.
