THE INFLUENCE OF TRAIN RUNNING AND SIGNALLING PARAMETERS ON MAKING UP DELAYS IN URBAN TRAIN SERVICES
EINFLUSS DER ZUGDATEN UND SIGNALSYSTEME AUF FALGEVERSPACTUNGEN BEI STADTBAHNEN
When a train is delayed, a number of factors must be taken into account to make up for the time lost. The author calculates how the delay is to be made up taking into account: train running parameters (speed, acceleration, deceleration, train length); signalling and safety regulations. He then comments on the results obtained. Conditions which favour speed and transport capacity on a line are negative factors when making up any delays.
