The first article is a detailed operating description of the standard automatic train driving instrumentation developed by Skoda: speed governor, tractive force regulator, braking regulator, programmer which sorts the information received on the train running, and simultaneously plots the speed curve which the train must observe to comply with the timetable and reduce energy consumption to a minimum. These instruments will equip Skoda electric locomotives in future. The second article describes the technology of the solid- state instrumentation.
