DEVELOPMENT OF KOREAN HIGHWAY CAPACITY MANUAL. HIGHWAY CAPACITY AND LEVEL OF SERVICE. PROCEEDINGS OF THE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON HIGHWAY CAPACITY, KARLSRUHE, GERMANY, 24-27 JULY 1991

This paper describes the on-going research project in Korea, the purpose of which is to develop a highway capacity manual which better reflects prevailing traffic and roadway conditions in Korea. The research is being conducted by facility type, and the research for two-lane roadways has just been completed. The research results for two-lane roadways, and some interim results for other types of facilities, are presented in this paper.
