The Long Term Pavement Performance program of the Strategic Highway Research Program has been operating for 3 years. A first, or inventory, round of data collection has been completed on 780 General Pavement Studies test sections, and construction of test sites for the Specific Pavement Studies is underway. Initial early byproducts of the program related to standard test methods are becoming available. Major products related to design and management of pavements will begin to appear in 1992.
