The paper presents the project for a fixed traffic link across the Great Belt in Denmark, consisting of a bored railway tunnel, a multi-span concrete box girder bridge for road and railway, and a major suspension bridge for road. The link is at present under construction and will be completed in 1996. The various designs submitted for tender are discussed briefly, and the master plan for the total fixed link is presented, along with the approximate costs. (TRRL)
