LIGHT RAIL IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
California was and in many ways remains the leader in the light rail renaissance, with service now operating in five cities. This article reviews recent development and problems in three systems: San Jose, Sacramento, and San Francisco. Because many other parts of the country now look to California's experiance with light rail, the events discussed here should be of general interest.
