L & N DOES BIG JOB ON BIG DIESELS
Louisville and Nashville's South Louisville locomotive shops have been converted by means of new work flow and innovative work techniques resulting in higher capacity and better quality control at the shops. A straight line pattern is followed for cleaning, inspection, servicing, and heavy maintenance over-hauling permitting a fast, afficient reconstitution of diesel engines. Automated techniques are employed throughout the maintenance facility.
