AN UNSATISFACTORY DOT SAFETY RATING CAN RESULT IN TOTAL CESSATION OF BUS OPERATIONS
This regulatory memo (the author is general counsel of the American Bus Association) urges operators to become familiar with FHWA's review procedures and with regulations for the review of "unsatisfactory" safety ratings. These new review procedures follow the enactment of Public Law 101-500, the Motor Carrier Safety Act of 1990.
