ANALYSIS OF HARDENED CONCRETE

ANALYSE DES BETONS DURCIS

Details are given of analyses conducted by the eight laboratories of the member societies of the Cetic Chemical Commission (Commission Chimique du Cetic) on 10 hardened concretes containing various types of cement and aggregates. The analysis of concrete containing ordinary siliceous aggregates presents no problems, if the test procedure described is followed, but difficulties arise when aggregates soluble in acid are present. A study is made of the evaluation of the cement content by means of calculations based on analytical values. /TRRL/
