DATA COLLECTION BY TELEMEASUREMENT
SAISIE DE DONNEES PAR TELEMESURE
Telemeasurements enable long-distance data to be recorded in real time and to be gathered centrally. To control the efficiency of this technique, a full-scale experiment on a real case was conducted, using the telephone network. The experiment concerned the proportioning of water in ready-mixed concrete. One and a half hours were required to set up the experiment. The technique can thus be of everyday use. It is also possible to control the telecommunication equipment with an industrial computer, thus enabling the automation systems for real-time data to be extended to laboratory studies. /TRRL/
