TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT. RTS ENGLISH ISSUE NUMBER 6. AN ARGUMENT FOR VIEWING THE TRANSPORT COMMODITY FROM A DIFFERENT ANGLE

The abundance of ticketing techniques and projects reviewed in the paper, ranging from direct payment for immediate use to the integration of public transport in a multi-service, multi-supplier system, leads to the question of what the outcome of this proliferation will be and to a proposal for an ATS (Automatic Ticketing System) which would aim at integrating and positioning the driving forces for adapting transport to its missions.
