AUTOMOBILES AND THE "GREENHOUSE" EFFECT
This paper looks at the issue of global warming resulting from automobiles in Canada and compares various alternative transportation fuels in terms of their emissions of greenhouse gases and global warming potential. Significant reductions in emissions can be attained through energy conservation, improved fuel economy, and the use of certain alternative fuels.
