DEMAND ESTIMATES FOR NEW GENERAL AVIATION AIRCRAFT
This research investigates factors affecting the demand for new general aviation turboprop and jet aircraft. These aircraft make up the two most important general aviation markets on a revenue basis. The demand models incorporate user cost as the proper measure of demand price. Direct and cross price elasticities are presented. The effect of changes in manufacturer's purchase price is investigated through a decomposition of user-cost.
