STABILITY ANALYSIS OF STEEL SPACE FRAMES WITH FLEXIBLE CONNECTIONS AND PARTIAL WARPING RIGIDITY. IN: STRUCTURAL STABILITY RESEARCH COUNCIL. 1990 ANNUAL TECHNICAL SESSION, STABILITY OF BRIDGES, ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, APRIL 10-11, 1990
The elastic stability (bifurcation) response of space frames including warping deformation and flexible (semi-rigid) connections is considered. Calculation of the elastic stability load is based on an eigenvalue analysis. A parametric study on the effect of connection rigidity for a portal space frame is presented in order to provide preliminary insight into the stability behavior of flexibly connected thin-walled space frames.
