OPTIMUM SULFATE CONTENT
A standard stepwise multiple regession algorithm has been used to find the optimum sulfate content as a function of numerous variable data. Good agreement with experimental data was obtained with an equation in terms of Blaine fineness and percent N and F. The equation is as follows: optimum S = 0.5560N + 0.0017659 Blaine fineness - 0.1072F - 3.6004. Using the same data, the following equation has also been developed for optimum sulfate content: S = 0.0933C3A + 1.7105N + 0.9406K + 1.228. A table is presented which compares the results obtained experimentally by the two different methods.
