PUBLIC ATTITUDES TOWARDS TRANSPORT AND POLLUTION
This report contains the results of a survey conducted by Market & Opinion Research International (MORI) on behalf of the World Wide Fund for Nature. The survey aimed to evaluate public attitudes towards air pollution - particularly the issue of carbon dioxide emissions from road vehicles - and measures which could be taken to reduce it. The survey was carried out by means of a questionnaire which was administered to 1938 adults and covered the following issues: 1) major sources of CO2; 2) government priorities for environmental action; 3) drivers' attitudes to the reduction of pollution from road vehicles, and 4) current use of public transport.
